Ready, Set, Cook
There’s a new “pan” in the kitchen and it’s helping you make the best looking lasagna ever.
I can’t help you with the taste, you’re on your own with that (anybody who wants to share their recipe can email it to me at Kathy@KathyDowDiscovers.com) but there’s something on the market that will take your presentation over the top.
Inventors at Baker’s Edge recently launched the Simple Lasagna Pan and they promise no more soggy, collapsed lasagna if you use their new product. The Simple Lasagna Pan’s design enables your layers to remain neatly stacked after the first and every cut.
The cast aluminum pan’s interior sidewalls circulate heat evenly and feature one continuous chamber so that you can get your slice and the rest remains untouched and intact. This means each serving looks as good as the first since there’s no disturbance and the juices can’t start the usual run from one end of the pan to the other creating an unappetizing mix mash look.
If this maze of a pan looks familiar it’s because they also created the award-winning Edge Brownie Pan that gives every slice a chewy, crunchy edge. Have you seen that one? If you’re an edge brownie eater this is a plug for the pan, but even if you’re a center eater it’s OK, you’ll always get some of that too with every brownie bite. It’s hard to tell which pan I’m reviewing here because I love brownies and thought the Edge Brownie Pan was the best thing since sliced bread when I first saw it.
Back to the Simple Lasagna Pan. It’s designed to fit standard box noodles, has a non stick coating, is oven safe to 500 degrees with over sized handles and the representative at the recent Holiday Gift Guide Show said that the pan is made in the USA, 100%. Now, that’s a good selling point too, isn’t it?
Hey, they say “If it looks good, it probably tastes good” and lasagna made in this pan will look pretty darn good. I think the guys at Baker’s Edge just stepped up the lasagna game.
Buy one, give it a try and let us hear your opinion!
