Celebrity Interview: Olivia Newton John
There were two celebrities on hand at the Celebrity Connections media event in April. One was Olivia Newton John and the other was her husband! He’s a celebrity in his own right, known as Amazon John, but certainly marrying her added to his credentials.
He’s John Easterling and together they’re on the stomp promoting his new Zamu health supplement. Actually, both of these good looking people have products on the market and they were in New York to talk about them and give out samples.
Olivia, as you may remember, suffered with a bout of breast cancer 17 years ago. But she was looking good and very healthy when I saw her, very pretty. That healthy part might have something to do with the glow from her new marriage. She and John have been married less than a year even though they were friends for over 15 years. He is a ruggedly good looking man and together they were beaming at one another.
Ok, back to the products they’re endorsing. Olivia was showcasing “Liv”, a breast self-exam aid designed to help you do a convenient at home breast exam. She had a little demo going where this cushy feeling circular “Liv” pad was placed over salt or sugar grains that were poured on the table. Feeling through the aid the salt or sugar felt bigger. The idea is to use light pressure on top of the aid and feel your way around your breast looking for anything unusual. I actually tried it (on the table not on me!) and it was amazing how you could feel the sugar granules and they did seem more pronounced. She was happy to give me a take home aid so I will be trying it – on me!
It’s really nice to have Olivia Newton John, the Grammy Award winning artist and actress interested in helping us regular women to “self detect.” Thanks Olivia. More information about where you can get the aid on Kathy’s List.
Back to the ruggedly good looking, handsome husband. I had a chance to talk to him about his organic rainforest CAMU supplement called ZAMU. The label on the 25 fl oz bottle says it “clears your mind – brightens your day.” With those claims I think we should all get on the juice!
The supplement is made using a small fruit called the Camu Camu, which grows in the rainforest under flood plains. The rainforest, he tells me, is the highest natural occurring source of Vitamin C in the world and produces 30% of the world’s oxygen. He has been going to Peru to the rainforest for over 30 years. ( He and Olivia got married there.) John is the owner and founder of Amazon Herb Company.
Zamu is certified USDA organic and the nutrients in Zamu are derived solely from real foods and herbs. I tasted it. Not bad. But if it’s the reason Olivia was beaming and looking so good, then its the kind of supplement I want. She credited it with helping her keep her stamina for her recent road tour.
Check Kathy’s List for more information about ZAMU.
